Come see Dayo at UP! Dance Project this Saturday! Produced by Jocelyn E. Isaac, this show brings together artists from diverse mediums to explore inspiration. Our dancers have been hard at work rehearsing to bring the concept alive.
Remember Identity? I choreographed the piece and we performed it at Music at the Monuments last summer.

I knew it was a work in progress but I had no clue what direction the work would be going in. I am totally pleased with the result. The solo (featuring Dayo Dancer, Jaleesa) is an exploration of the chaos related to excessive material desires and greed. She is self-centered and without community. The ensemble communicates the order associated with "getting in the groove" or in alignment with self and thusly your surroundings.
